This blog is a project of Alternative Commercial Lending, a brokerage offering borrowers options to traditional bank financing.
ACL is partnering with a group of Missouri investors to put the next wave of renewable energy into production. We're looking for opportunities to finance second-generation biodiesel and ethanol, particularly cellulosic ethanol and biodieself from non-grain feedstocks.
An ideal partner for us is a company that has a commercially viable technology that can be profitable within a 3-5 year window, and needs $1 to $10 million to go into production. These projects are traditionally ignored by commercial banks and other investors who view these as "too small" for their attention.
Along the way, we'll be exploring what's happening in the credit markets, the governmental incentives, and the technologies that will make a new and renewable world possible.
